Peshawar: Pakistan has made a big game on the border with Afghanistan. Pakistan, citing security, has temporarily closed a major border from Afghanistan until further orders. Officials have given information about this. A senior Pakistan security official said that the Ghulam Khan border has been closed after a suicide attack on Saturday in North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and a clash in the province of Afghanistan.

The Pakistani official said, “Prohibition has been implemented in North Waziristan after the attack and Seema (Ghulam Khan) has been closed for unpacened time.” At least 13 security personnel were killed and three others were injured in a suicide attack on Saturday in North Waziristan district.

Afghanistan has also confirmed the step taken by Pakistan. Abidullah Farooqui, a spokesman of the border forces of the interim Afghan government, said that Pakistani officials have not given any clarification for the move. Farooqui said in a statement, “Pakistani authorities have instructed vehicles to use only alternative routes at the crossing.”
