The debt -ridden telecom company Vodafone Idea (VI) has expanded 23 and 5G service in cities. These include Jaipur, Kolkata and Lucknow. The company gave this information on Monday. VI has already started 5G service in five cities – Mumbai, Delhi -NCR, Bengaluru, Chandigarh and Patna.

The company said that VI … has announced the next phase of its 5G spread. Under this, network is now being deployed in 23 cities. These include Ahmedabad, Agra, Aurangabad, Kozhikode, Cochin, Dehradun, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Malappuram, Meerut, Nagpur, Nashik, Pune, Rajkot, Sonipat, Surat, Siliguri, Trivandram, Vadodara and Visakhapatnam. VI has acquired 5G spectrum in 17 in 22 telecom circles.

VI recharge
VI said that users with 5G equipment in newly declared cities will be able to use VI 5G services. VI is offering unlimited 5G data on schemes starting from Rs 299. The company said that it has added one lakh new towers in the last 6 months. Edited by: Sudhir Sharma
