Kajol-Ajay was torn on shooting ‘Maa’! Kajol opens the secret of his ‘horror experience’

Ajay Devgan’s production ‘MAA’ has recently been released. In this Mitho-Horr film, Kajol was seen with stars like Ronit Roy and Indranil Sengupta. The film is the second episode of ‘Satan Universe’ and is directed by Vishal Furia. Kajol opened many secrets related to the film ‘Maa’ in the IMDB series ‘Behind the Scenes’.

Horror is not my favorite genre

Kajol admitted that he is not a very big fan of horror. He said, “I always stayed away from scripts where only the objective was to show horror. But ‘Maa’ was a project that had a great mix of scripts, characters, dialogues and mythology.”

He told that the inspiration of the film has been taken from the story of Kali Maa and Raktabij and hence he found it right to do this film.

Superstition or tradition?

Kajol said that she comes out with the name of God before starting the project and always takes blessings by touching the feet of mother Tanuja. “If possible, I want my mother to be together on shooting on the first day.”

Disagreement with Ajay during shooting

Although the pair of Ajay Devgan and Kajol have always been strong, there were some small controversies during the shooting of this film.

“There were no quarrels but there were some differences. There were some personal, some professionals. But in both cases we got stronger and got out,” Kajol said.

The biggest challenge: VFX and horror tone

Kajol said that it was not easy to work on the green screen and to act the right tone of fear in acting. “Acting in horror, expressions have to be a little extra push so that the audience can get the right effect.”

He told that the action that happens in horror films does not understand the audience often, but it is a big challenge for the actors.
