The journey to Chardham in Uttarakhand is about to begin, for this registrations have started from today. Devotees appeared in the line in Haridwar for registration since morning. Millions of people of the country go to Chardham Yatra. Chardham has great importance in Hinduism. This year too, offline registration for Chardham Yatra has started today from April 28. 20 free registration counters have been created in Haridwar.

Where are the centers?

The Chardham Yatra starts from the last day of April i.e. the Chardham Yatra will start from 30 April 2025, on the same day the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham will open. At the same time, the doors of Kedarnath Dham will open on May 2 while the doors of Badrinath Dham will open on May 4. Keep in mind that it is mandatory to register every passenger going on Chardham Yatra. Please inform that the government has set up more than 50 registration centers in Haridwar, Dehradun, Rishikesh, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi districts. Devotees can register before starting the journey from these places.

District Tourism Officer of Haridwar Sushil Nautiyal said, “Offline registration facility for Char Dham Yatra has been started from today. We have created 20 counters for tourists, including separate counters for Divyang, senior citizens and foreign nationals. Today is the first day of registration.

What will be the documents?

Please inform that passengers have to keep Aadhaar card with them during registration, because you will be asked for Aadhaar card and mobile number at the registration counter. Also, if someone has a disease, he will also have to give his medical history.

What was the total number of devotees last year?

Significantly, in last year i.e. 2024, more than 48 lakh devotees traveled to Chardham. While 65 lakh devotees had registered. Whereas in Kedarnath and Badrinath itself, only 30,87,417 devotees had made their presence registered.
