After a long wait, the Vodafone Idea is finally launching its 5G service in many cities of the country. Some time ago the company launched its 5G service in Mumbai Telecom Circle. After this, the company has started expanding its 5G service in many more telecom circles, including Bihar, Punjab, Delhi and Karnataka. After Mumbai, now Vodafone-Idea has launched its 5G service in Patna and Chandigarh. According to the company’s website, Bihar and Punjab have launched 5G in both these capital of Telecom Circle.
Crores of users benefit
In July 2022, Jio and Airtel as well as Vodafone-Idea also participated in the 5G spectrum auction. Airtel and Jio launched services in many cities of the country as soon as the 5G was launched in October 2022. By December 2023, both these telecom companies have delivered their 5G service to all telecom circles in the country. According to the recent report, 5G services are being provided in 99% districts of the country. At present, the number of 5G mobile users in India is also increasing rapidly. In such a situation, millions of users will get the benefit of starting 5G services of Vodafone-Idea.
BSNL also prepared
Apart from Vodafone-Idea, BSNL is also preparing to launch 5G service this year. In June this year, the government telecom company can start a commercial trial of its 5G service. After this, 5G service will be launched. Both BSNL and VI have suffered heavy losses from users, according to the recent TRAI report. Users of these two companies are decreasing in millions every month. The main reason for this is the absence of 5G service.
Information about network coverage mandatory
TRAI had recently instructed telecom companies to upload their 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G service coverage on their website or app so that users are easy to check which company coverage is present in their area while choosing a network operator. Following the order of TRAI, all telecom companies have uploaded their network coverage information on the website. Now users can detect network coverage through map.
