40 devotees trapped in landslides on Kedarnath road
Uttarakhand is getting heavy rain these days. Due to this, incidents like landslide are happening in different areas. Meanwhile, landslides were taken due to continuous rains in Sonprayag, due to which more than 40 devotees returning from Kedarnath got trapped. 40 devotees trapped near the Sonprayag landslide area have been successfully rescued by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). The official said the landslide occurred at 10 pm on Monday night due to heavy rains, due to which the road was interrupted and many devotees were trapped there due to sudden debris. Explain that after this incident, SDRF teams were immediately sent to the spot and a rescue operation was carried out at night to rescue the pilgrims.
Heavy rain havoc in Uttarakhand
Please tell that the heavy rains in Uttarakhand have caused havoc. Due to this, people are facing a lot of problems. Chamoli police said, ‘Landslides have been seen near Badrish Hotel on Badrinath National Highway. Traffic on Yamunotri National Highway has been badly affected. In the continuous rains, parts of the highway have been washed away between the sewing band and Ojri. Uttarkashi police said, ‘Yamunotri National Highway is closed at two places. It may take time to restore the route. Officials of SDRF, NDRF, Police and Forest Department are present on the spot to handle the situation, who are helping to pass through the temporary routes of devotees and local people.
Electricity and water services disrupted
Apart from this, essential services in many areas have also been affected due to continuous rains in Uttarakhand. Electricity supply has been disrupted in areas such as Agrakhal, Chamba, Jakhindhar and Dagamandar, while water supply in parts of Chamba block was affected. Let us know that the Char Dham Yatra was postponed for 24 hours on Sunday after a cloudburst near Barkot. However, the journey was started again from Monday. Please tell that two workers were killed and 7 other people went missing in this incident.
