Air India’s Delhi-Washington flight cancell, due to this decision had to be taken
Tata Group -led Airlines Air India has canceled the flight from Delhi to Washington. In fact, Air India flight going from New Delhi to Washington stopped to fuel in Vienna, Austria, but did not fly from there. According to the news of Hindustan Times, Flightradar24 data of flight number AI103 revealed that the flight flew from Delhi on 2 July and landed in Vienna. While the same day was to leave for Washington, but it did not happen.
What to say about the airlines
According to the news, the airlines say that there was a plan to stop the flight in Vienna, but it stayed in Vienna for a long time due to an extended maintenance work during regular checks. An Air India spokesman said that this is the reason why the flight of Washington DC from Vienna was canceled and passengers were removed. The spokesperson also said that flight AI104 from Washington DC to Delhi via Vienna was also canceled. Passengers traveling with this flight were either provided with optional flights or they were given full refund as per their choice.
Passengers sent back to optional flight
Flight number AI103 left on Wednesday at 12.45 pm and was to reach Washington at 8.45 pm on Thursday, canceled in Vienna and all passengers were sent to Delhi’s optional flight. Airline spokesperson said that the passengers were offered full refunds on the basis of their priorities. Air India has been in constant news since Air India’s Ahmedabad plane crash accident.
According to PTI, an Air India flight from Haneda Airport in Tokyo to Delhi was diverted towards Kolkata on Sunday due to a continuous warm temperature in the cabin. However, Air India said in a statement that the aircraft landed safely. Earlier, an Air India flight going to Chennai had to return to Mumbai on Saturday due to the smell of burning in the cabin.
