First glimpse of ‘Ramayana’.
Bollywood’s shining stars Ranbir Kapoor and Kannada cinema superstar Yash will soon be seen face to face in India’s oldest and prestigious saga ‘Ramayana’. In this mega project of director Nitesh Tiwari, Ranbir is playing the role of Lord Ram, while Yash Khalnayak plays Ravana. This grand film, which is being made in two parts, will be released on the occasion of Diwali in the year 2026 and 2027. Now the first look of this film has come out. The first glimpse of the film is quite strong and it is getting a glimpse of Yash and Ranbir Kapoor.
First look: a combination of grandeur, depth and divinity
The film’s first look video has created a stir on the internet. In this video, mythology has been introduced with modern technology and tremendous visual treatment. AR Rahman’s background score and Oscar winner Hans Zimmer’s sound design make this project a unique experience. The video shows how Brahma, Vishnu and Mahadev maintain the balance of creation, but the ashes of the same balance emerge a power that stunns everyone, a demon child who later becomes Ravana. Heaven trembles with his roar and has only one goal, destroying Vishnu, who repeatedly stand in front of his plans. Vishnu is born as his most famous avatar Maryada Purushottam Shriram to stop him. This starts the story of the conflict between Ram and Ravana, which even today 2.5 billion people are worshiped worldwide.

Ramayana: Part 1 Diwali will be released on 2026, while Ramayana: Part 2 Diwali will be released on 2027. Nitesh Tiwari is directing this film. Namit Malhotra and Yash are its creators. The film is being produced by Prime Focus Studio and Monster Mind Creation. Oscar winning studio DNEG is its VFX partner 8 times. ‘Ramayana’ is being specially shot for IMAX, which can be taken to the audience in a mythological universe that has never been seen before. Its grandeur, artistry and technical excellence is going to set a new standard for Indian cinema.
