The Department of Telecommunications has again banned 22 lakh WhatsApp account on cybercrime. These WhatsApp accounts are used to cheat people through fake calls and messages. Many users have reported these WhatsApp accounts through the Communication Partner of the Department of Telecommunications. Dot is strict to prevent increasing incidence of cybercrime.
Big attack on cybercrime
Recently 4.2 crore mobile numbers have been blocked. Apart from this, IMEI numbers of 27 lakh mobile handsets have also been banned. The Department of Telecommunications has shared this information through its official X handle. Dot told in his post to prevent cyber fraud! With the help of ‘Communication Saathi’, WhatsApp accounts associated with 22 lakh cyber crimes have been blocked. This step to curb fake accounts, fraud and cyber thugs, making digital India safe and reliable.
Apart from this, the Department of Telecommunications has made 27 lakh mobile phones a box to stop cybercrime. After reporting on the communication partner portal, millions of mobile numbers have been blacklisted to the IMEI number. Due to this major action taken in all the states and union territories of the country, millions of mobile phones have not been usable to use.
How to report on communication partner portal?
- For this, first one has to go to the communication partner’s website or app.
- Then you have to enter the number, e-mail etc. from the call or SMS received.
- You have to upload a screenshot of the message or call after this
- Now the information on which the call or message has come will have to be recorded.
- Then fill the time at which the call or message has been received.
- Later you will get OTP after entering your mobile number, email etc.
- Enter OTP and then you will have a cyber crime report on the communication partner portal or app.
