To increase the strength of our Navy, the Government of India has made a deal with the Rafale aircraft with the Government of France. Governments of India and France have dealt with a total of 26 Rafale aircraft and all these Rafale are for the Indian Navy. Let us tell you that these 26 Rafale will have 22 single seater and four twin seater. For this deal, the Inter-Governmental Agreement (IGA) has been signed. The deal will include training, simulator, associated equipment, weapons and performance base logistics. Not only this, additional equipment for the current Rafale fleet of the Indian Air Force is also included in this deal.

Rajnath Singh and Sebastian Lakeornu signed

Today i.e. on 28 April 2025, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and French Armed Force Minister Sebastian Lecornu have signed the IGA. Copies signed by the signed copy of the agreement, aircraft package supply protocol and weapon package supply protocol were also exchanged in the presence of Defense Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh at Navy Bhawan in New Delhi.

Let us tell you that the government is focused on self -reliant India and in the agreement under it, it is also in the agreement that technology will also be transferred to integrate indigenous weapons in India. It is being told that after this deal, a large number of employment will be generated in MSMEs. 1. Foldable wings are provided in Rafael Marine, which is not in the Rafale of the Air Force.
2. Rafael Marine has been given built-in stairs to reach the cockpit directly from the aircraft career deck.
3. Rafael Marine has a microwave landing system based on aircraft carrier.
4. There is also a strong undercurry in Rafael Marine to face the pressure of land on the aircraft career.
5. Rafael Marine is slightly heavier than Air Force Rafael as it has many modifications.
