Ramayana will be the most expensive film in India, the budget is so thousand crores
Since the release of the teaser of Nitesh Tiwari’s most awaited film ‘Ramayanam’, the excitement of fans has increased even more. In the film, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in the role of Lord Ram and Yash Ravana. The teaser also shows a glimpse of both stars.
Also, in the teaser, the film’s other starcast has also been unveiled. ‘Ramayanam’ is not just a film, it is a global event based on the Indian story and with the top talent in the world. It is produced by Namit Malhotra, who has won the Oscar 8 times and has been a big force behind Hollywood films like Doon, Openheimer and Interstaller.

Keeping in mind the story of the film and its details, the makers are making ‘Ramayanam’ in two parts. Ramayanam Nitesh Tiwari’s career is the most anti -antisepted and expansive movie. Not only this, it is one of the most expensive films in India.
According to the report of Bollywood Hungama, the makers have put a budget of Rs 1600 crore for the Ramayanam franchise. Only the budget for the first part of Ramayanam is Rs 900 crore, while Rs 700 crore has been kept separate for the sequel. This huge expenditure makes ‘Ramayana’ the most expensive series in the history of Indian cinema.
The first part of ‘Ramayanam’ will end on Sita Haran. In the second part, Lanka will be shown and Ram-Ravana war will be shown. In the second part, the budget of the film seems less, it is due to one trick of the makers and many technical reasons.

According to the report, only the action sequence will be left to shoot in the second part. To prepare the characters and the sets that will be made are also to be used in Part 2. In such a situation, the cost of the film will come down.
In the film, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, as Yash Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Laxman. The film is being shot for IMAX and its first part worldwide will be released in Diwali 2026 and second part in Diwali 2027.
