Congress said- party leader should not speak on Pahalgam attack
The Congress has opted out of the statements of party leaders on the Pahalgam terror attack. Congress is opposing statements by Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, Congress leader RB Timtwar, Vijay Wadettiwar, Mani Shankar Aiyar, Tariq Hameed Karra, Saifuddin Soz and Robert Vadra.
Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said on Monday, ‘The statements of party leaders are his personal opinion. This is not the line of the Congress party. I want to make it clear that no one has given these leaders the right to speak so.
He said- Our proposal in such sensitive time, what Kharge ji and Rahul ji said in all-party meeting and what AICC officials will speak will be valid. People keep speaking here and there, they should not speak. Leaders do not need to speak in sensitive times.
Here the BJP has targeted the Congress party. It is alleged that some people of the opposition party are speaking the language of Pakistan. Ravi Shankar Prasad said- The Congress is with all the decisions of the government, but some Congress leaders have made wrong and derogatory statements about the Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
Nishikant Dubey asked- Siddaramaiah is a patriot or a traitor
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey said- Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah is a patriot or a traitor, people should find out. I do not need to ask Rahul Gandhi anything, I trust my Prime Minister, Home Minister and Defense Minister.
On the statement of Jammu and Kashmir Congress President Tariq Hamid Karra, Dubey said- should we perform his (Pakistan) aarti. Pakistani will kill our people and we will perform their aarti.
Ravi Shankar said- When 26/11 attacked, we with the government
Ravi Shankar Prasad said that I remember when 26/11, I received strict instructions from the party that I should take only one line- we are with the government. Even during an interview on an international channel, I said that it is not time to pay political accounts.
