Rio de Janeiro: Pakistan has been slapped in front of the world at the 17th BRICS conference held on Sunday at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. BRICS has strongly condemned the Pahalgam attack in the joint statement. This is the second time after Quad, when the Pahalgam attack at the international level is condemned. We express our commitment to combat terrorism in all forms and expressions including cross -border movement of terrorists, terrorism funding and safe bases. We reiterate that terrorism should not be linked to any religion, nationality, civilization or ethnic group and all those involved in terrorist activities should be held accountable and brought to the dock of justice according to the relevant national and international law. We urge to ensure zero tolerance for terrorism and reject double norms in combating terrorism.

Secretary’s statement also revealed

Secretary (Economic Relations) Dmu Ravi said, “All members have supported India. He expressed solidarity and strong condemnation of Pahalgam terrorist attack.”

PM Modi also appealed to unite against terrorism

Earlier, at the BRICS summit, PM Modi also lashed out at Pakistan to support terrorism and appealed to the leaders of the world to unite against terror. PM Modi clearly said that the Pahalgam terror attack was an attack on India’s soul and dignity. The PM strictly said that there should be no difference between words and actions about terrorism. Taking a dig at China without naming, Modi said that the condemnation of terrorism should be our ‘principle’, not only ‘convenience’. If first you will see in which country the attack took place, against whom, then it will be a betrayal against humanity.
