Mahakaleshwar Temple: Shravan month is going to start from 11 July 2025. Monday will be on 14 July. If you are going to see Baba Mahakal in Ujjain, then you need to take care of 7 things only then you will get the benefit of Baba’s philosophy and your journey will be completed. Mahakal, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, is the only best Shivling. It is said that ‘Akash Tarakam Lingam Patale Hatkeshwaram. 1. Do their visit with Mahakal: In Ujjain, three and a half periods are seated- Mahakal, Kalabhairava, Garhkalika and Ardh Kaal Bhairav. There is a special law of their worship. Apart from this, do not forget to see Mata Harsiddhi. If you are going to see Mahakal Baba, then after darshan of Mata Harsiddhi, do visit Kalbhairava and Kalika Mata in Garhkalika.

2. Juna Mahakal: After seeing Mahakal, one must visit Juna Mahakal. According to some people, when the possibility of fragmentation of this Shivling increased during the Mughal period, the priests had hidden it and instead they started worshiping it by keeping another Shivling. Later, he established that Shivling elsewhere in the courtyard of Mahakal, which is today called ‘Juna Mahakal’. However, according to some people this was done to protect the real Shivling from erosion.

3. Do visit Omkareshwar Shivling: The currently Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga is divided into 3 sections. Mahakaleshwar is located in the lower section, Omkareshwar in the middle section and Shri Nagachandrasreshwar Temple in the upper section. Nagachandrasreshwar Shivling is allowed to visit the day of Nagpanchami once a year. There is an ancient pool in the temple complex.

4. Kshipra Darshan: After Mahakal Darshan or before before, do Kshipra darshan. It is considered auspicious to see Shipra from Ramghat. Devotees who live outside Ujjain must do this.

6. Siddhwat: If you have come to see Mahakal in Ujjain, then you must see thousands of years old Siddhavat. Just as Akshayavat in Prayagraj, Vanshivat in Gokul Mathura, Gayavat in Gaya and Panchavat in Nashik, it is Siddhawat. According to Skanda Purana, it was planted by Mata Parvati with her hands. It is also known as Shakti Bhaidha Tirtha. Here the work of rituals, Pitridosh prevention, prevention of snakeback etc. is done.

7. Vikram Tila: In Ujjain, Emperor Vikramaditya is ranked ‘Vikramaditya Tila’, located near the Mahakaleshwar Temple. This mound is also known for Vikramaditya’s throne Battisi, where his court was held. There is only one king of Ujjain and he is Mahakal Baba. Since the rule of Vikramaditya, no king can stay here at night. Whoever has done this audacity, was surrounded by crises.
