But Kusal Mendis and captain Charith Asanka, while handling the innings, shared an important partnership of 124 runs.
Mendis scored 124 runs in 114 balls with the help of 15 fours and a six, while Asanka added 58 runs off 68 balls. With the contribution of these two, Sri Lanka scored a challenging score of 285 runs in the prescribed 50 overs.
