The former secretary of Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has been arrested by the Mumbai Police. Alia’s former secretary is named Vedika Shetty, who has been arrested in a fraud of 76 lakhs with the actress. Vedika is alleged to have manipulated Alia Bhatt’s production house and personal account and has lime of 76 lakhs to the actress. A case was registered against Vedika Shetty in the Juhu police, which is under investigation. At present, no official statement has been issued by Alia or her team on the matter.
Case was registered in January 2025
It is alleged that Shetty illegally received an amount of 76 lakhs from Aadhaar Alia and her production house of fake bills. This embezzlement was done from May 2022 to August 2024. Vedika used to create fake bills, take Alia’s signature on her and then transfer all the money to her friend’s account. In this way, Shetty embezzled about 76 rupees in two years. In this case, a case was registered at Juhu police station in January this year, after which Vedika had no idea.
Vedika was absconding for 5 months
Vedika was absconding for the last 5 months. Vedika was now arrested from Bangalore and produced in court. The accused Vedika has been sent to police custody till 10 July.
