PM Modi honored with Namibia’s highest award
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded the highest award of Namibia.
PM modi namibia visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Namibia on Wednesday, July 9 in the last phase of his visit to five countries. PM Modi received a grand welcome here. This is Prime Minister Modi’s first visit to Namibia and the third visit of a Prime Minister from India. During this period, PM Modi has been awarded Namibia’s highest award ‘Order of the Most Enshstate Velvitshiya Mirabilis’.

Order of the Most Enshlay is the highest civilian award of Velvitsia Mirabilis Namibia. The award was launched in 1990 in 1995 in 1995 in 1995 to recognize the specific service and leadership. In the name of a unique and ancient desert plant found in Namibia, Velvitshiya Mirabilis, the award symbolizes the flexibility, longevity and permanent spirit of the Namibian people. This is Prime Minister Modi’s 27th and the fourth award for the visit.
What did PM Modi say?
During this, PM Modi said, “This honor is a matter of great pride and respect for me. I heartily thank President’s government and Namibia’s people. I accept this honor with humility on behalf of 140 crore Indians.” He said, “India and Namibia have stood with each other since their freedom struggle. Our friendship is not from politics but with struggle cooperation and mutual belief. Shared democratic values and bright future shared dreams have watered it. In future also we will continue to move forward on the development path.”
Our partnership will shine like diamonds
PM Modi said, “Namibia is one of the largest diamond producers in the world and the largest diamond in India is the polishing industry, that too in my home state of Gujarat. I am confident that our partnership will shine like these diamonds in the coming time.”
Important discussion between PM Modi and President of Namibia
Earlier, PM Modi held talks with Namibia President Netumbo Nandi-Nadaitwa. During the talks, methods of increasing bilateral cooperation were discussed in areas such as digital technology, defense, security, agriculture, healthcare, education and important minerals. The two leaders also reviewed the India-Namibia relations during the delegation level talks. In a post on social media after the meeting, Prime Minister Modi said, “Cooperation in areas like digital technology, defense, security, agriculture, healthcare, education and important minerals was prominently involved in our discussion.” He said, “We also discussed ways to deepen relations in the fields of business, energy and petrochemicals. Thank you for the help of Namibia in ‘Project Cheetah’. ”
India-namibia signs four agreements
Following the talks of PM Modi and Namibia President Netumbo Nandi-Nadaitwa, both sides signed four agreements, including cooperation in health and medicine, establishment of Entrepreneurship Development Center in Namibia, CDRI (alliance for disaster resistance infrastructure) framework and global biofuel coalition framwork. Modi, who arrived here from Brazil in the last phase of his visit to five countries, also paid tribute to Samibia founder Sam Nujoma in the national monument ‘Heroes Acar’. Nuzoma gave Namibia freedom in 1990 and was President for 15 years. Modi, who came here on the invitation of President Nandi-Nadaitwa, described Namibia as a “important and reliable partner” in Africa.
