40 loaves used to eat daily!
Jaideep Ahlawat’s fitness journey is the most different. He is known for his desi diet, village jedgi and fast metabolism, including ghee, milk, butter and rotis and everything was digested with much physical hard work. During a conversation on the show ‘Khana Mein Kaun Hai’, Jaideep said that till 2008, he has never been more than 70 kg, while he is quite long. The reason for this was his tremendous metabolism. He smiled and said, ‘I used to eat at least 40 loaves daily and still there was no effect. All the energy of the body was spent in work and other activities in the fields.
How was eating
Raised in a village in Haryana, Jaideep Ahlawat’s upbringing was very simple and related to soil. He explains, ‘Lunch was ready, but we used to eat sugarcane, carrot, guava or whatever weather they used to eat from the fields. If the stomach was full, the cooked food would sometimes remain the same. ‘ Morning breakfast with gram or millet bread, butter, chutney and lassi was also completely desi. Jaideep says, “Food for us was not just to fill your stomach, there was a tradition and that tradition is still with me.”
Khan was incomplete without milk
For Jaideep Ahlawat, milk is not just a drink, but his childhood identity. Remembering, he said, ‘Milk was such a large part of my life that even a day could not pass without him. We used to drink milk not in the glass, not in the glass. And this was absolutely common. Even today, when Jaideep lives in Mumbai and goes to parties, his mind is still in the house. He said, ‘I have been in Mumbai for 15-16 years, but homemade food still gives the same comfort. Even after returning from the party, I eat the same one that is made at home.
