Ind vs Eng 3rd Test Day 1 Highlights: On the first day of the third Test of Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, England won the toss and batted first and scored 251 runs for four wickets till the end of the day’s play. Joe Root returned unbeaten on 99 runs and captain Ben Stokes 39 runs. Both shared an unbeaten 79 runs for the fifth wicket. Oli Pope scored 44 runs, while Nitish Reddy took two wickets for India. Bumrah and Jadeja got one success each.

The third Test of Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy between India and England is being played at the historic Lord’s ground in London. On the first day of the match, England won the toss and decided to bat first and ended the day with a score of 251 runs for four wickets.

England started slow and the team lost two wickets for 44 runs. Ben Docket (23) and Jack Croly (18) were dismissed by Nitish Kumar Reddy. After this, Joe Root and Oli Pope, while handling the innings, shared the important partnership for the third wicket. England did not lose any wicket in the second session.

However, at the beginning of the third session, Oli Pope (44) and Harry Brook (11) were dismissed early. Bumrah sent Brook and Jadeja sent the Pope to the pavilion. After this, captain Ben Stokes and Joe Root batted responsibly and shared a 79 -run partnership for the fifth wicket.

Joe Root remained unbeaten on 99 runs till the end of the day’s play and is just one run away from his 37th Test century. Stokes is unbeaten on 39 runs. For India, Nitish Reddy took two wickets, while Jaspreet Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja got one wicket each.
