During an interview, where the theme of talks was his upcoming tournaments and India’s Olympic ambitions, he was also sought to respond to the murder of 25 -year -old Radhika. To this Neeraj said, “I do not know his background, but it is very unfortunate. I hope women will not be treated in this way and they will be given more and more opportunities. We have seen how brilliantly women are performing in sports, they have proved their abilities, and I hope that this trend will continue. What happened is very sad.”
What is the whole matter?
25 -year -old Radhika Yadav was running a tennis academy in Sushant folk area of Gurugram. But last week he was shot by his father Deepak Yadav. Initial investigation has revealed that there was a long tension in the family about Radhika’s sports career and independent decisions.
According to the police, Deepak Yadav recently returned from the village, where the villagers taunted him at “allowing the daughter to run the academy”. This made him feel insulted and asked Radhika to close the academy. But Radhika flatly refused and reminded that she himself has invested two crore rupees on it.
After struggling with confusion and anger in the mind for three days, Deepak shot Radhika from behind in the kitchen. Three bullets were hit – one in the waist and two in the chest. Radhika died on the spot.
His uncle Kuldeep Yadav told the police that after hearing the sound of the bullet, he ran up and found Radhika soaked in blood. Deepak Yadav has been arrested and admitted to the murder. The investigation is still going on.
