Pran came to Mumbai after partition in 1947 and made his mark in Bollywood with ‘stubborn’. Pran has seen his tremendous fear in the 1950s and 60s. His strong character won the hearts of people in films like ‘Madhumati’ (1958), ‘Jai Jai Jai Ganga Bahi Hai’ (1960), ‘Ram Aur Shyam’ (1967). His huge voice and a rampage style made him a famous villain.

Pran was one of the most expensive actors of Bollywood from 1969 to 1982. He suggested Amitabh Bachchan’s name to producer Prakash Mehra for the 1973 film ‘Zanjeer’, which brightened Amitabh’s career.
