In a conversation with Cheteshwar Pujara during the third Test against England, coach Gautam Gambhir supported BCCI’s family rules. He said, “I am not against the family, but you have to understand that you are not on leave. You have come here to make the country proud, and not everyone gets this opportunity.”
Virat does not like new rule
After India’s 1-3 defeat in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the BCCI implemented new guidelines for the players. Under this, players can spend only 14 days with their family in a tournament lasting 45 days or more, while the limit is limited to 7 days in a small tour. Reacting to this rule, Virat Kohli had said that he does not like this system because he does not want to feel unhappy by sitting in the room alone.
