Amazon has taken another step towards satellite internet service. The company has launched its first batch with its internet satellite rocket. E-commerce and IT company has given a tough challenge to Allen Musk’s company Starlink through this. Starlink has so far launched thousands of Spacex’s satellite in space, through which broadband internet service is being provided worldwide. Starlink has launched its satellite broadband service in more than 105 countries. Soon both these companies are going to launch satellite internet service in India.
27 satellites launched
Amazon has launched 27 Atlas V rocket of Project Kuiper from Florida, USA. These rockets have been sent by United Launch Alliance (Ula) at an altitude of 630 km from the Earth’s orbit. Amazon earlier launched two Test satellite rockets through ATLAS V in 2023 under this project. Mirror films have been installed on these satellites, which will reflect sunlight.
The Amazon Project is preparing to launch 3,200 satellites under the project Kuipar, through which the work of delivering globally satellite broadband service will be done. At the same time, Allen Musk’s company Starlink has launched more than 8,000 Spacex satellite. More than 7,000 satellites of the company are moving 550 km above the earth, through which globally broadband internet service is being provided.
Starlink’s increased tension
Apart from Amazon and Starlink, Airtel’s back -back company Onweeb has also launched hundreds of satellite in space. The company has recently tested direct-to-mobile connectivity through these satellites. Airtel’s satellite broadband service in India will be provided through Onweeb. These satellite launched by Amazon under Project Quipper will create a challenge for the coming time for Starlink. At this time, the satellite broadband service dominates Starlink.
