Bihar Assembly elections are to be held this year. Earlier, CM Nitish Kumar is taking major decisions one after the other. On Sunday, Nitish Kumar has announced that the Bihar government will provide jobs and employment opportunities to one crore youth in the next 5 years. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday announced on the social media forum ‘X’ that the state government will establish Jannayak Karpoori Thakur Kaushal University for connecting the youth with self -employment and skill development during the next five years (2025 to 2030). He informed that the government aims to double one crore youth with government jobs and other employment as compared to the year 2020-25. In this direction, the youth will be made self -reliant and employment oriented through skill training.
Employment opportunities will be available in industrial areas
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday informed about the ambitious schemes of the state government about the youth on the social media forum ‘X’. He informed that between 2025 and 2030, new opportunities will be created in industrial and private sectors to achieve the goal of giving government jobs and employment to one crore youth. For this, a high -level committee is being formed, which will formulate a concrete strategy in this direction.
The Chief Minister also informed that so far 10 lakh youth have been provided government jobs and about 39 lakh people have been provided employment. The government claims that the target of providing jobs and employment to more than 50 lakh youth will definitely be met. He said that skill development training is going on to connect the youth of the state with self -employment under the ‘Saat Nishchay’ program. This program will be expanded in the coming years so that more and more youth can be made self -sufficient.
A new skill university will be established in this episode, named “Jannayak Karpoori Thakur Kaushal University”. This institute will prove to be a milestone towards skill development and will prepare for employment by giving technical and vocational training to the youth of the state.
More than eight lakh youth got government jobs
He said that between 2005 and 2020, more than eight lakh youths of Bihar were provided with government jobs. The Chief Minister said, to further speed up the pace of providing government jobs and employment to the youth, under the program of good governance in 2020, we had pledged to give government jobs to 10 lakh youth and employment to 10 lakh people. Later, this target was raised to 12 lakh youth government jobs and 38 lakh people were targeted by August 2025.
