This South film, made on the story of the devastating flood in Kerala in 2018, made everyone emotional. The film, which has earned nine times more than its budget, is named ‘2018 Evevan is a Hero’. The audience liked this film so much that India’s Special Jury sent it for the 96th Oscar Award by ignoring many Bollywood films. It was the first Indian film after Aamir Khan’s film ‘Lagaan’ in 2002, which got entry in the category of Best Foreign Film in Oscar. The film, released without any noise, is discussed till date. In terms of earnings, the film set a new record in the year 2023. It was the highest grossing Malayalam film of the year, which was later released in Hindi.

The corona virus was spread during the shooting of this Dhansu film and due to this the shoot was stopped.
