US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that his administration would send Patriot air defense missiles to Ukraine amidst Kiev’s struggle with Russia. Although Trump refused to explain how many air defense missiles he would send to Ukraine, he said that he would send some missiles. He also said that Washington would not pay these weapons. While returning to the White House, Trump said in Maryland’s Joint Base Andrews, “We are not paying anything for him, but we will give them Patriots that they need in dire need.”
Ukraine will have to pay
Explain that this statement of Trump has come at a time in which he had decided not to send weapons and assistance to Ukraine earlier. Apart from this, he advocated a ceasefire in a four -year war between Kiev and Moscow. However, Ukraine said it needs air defense missiles to protect its safety from Russian airstrikes. After this, Trump said on Sunday that the US is providing state -of -the -art weapons and Ukraine will pay 100% for it.

Jailonsky said that the last meeting with the US and European colleagues in Rome had raised the hope that Trump would increase military assistance including air defense to the war -torn country.
