Hearing of hearing

  • The Supreme Court said that how can we order it.
  • The petitioner’s counsel said that the nurse’s mother is in Yemen, but she is a domestic worker. To interact with the victim’s family, we are requesting the union. The management of money is up to us. Today, to avoid death sentence, only it is possible to convince the family.
  • Justice Mehta said that this is a sensitive issue. But what will the court do here.
  • AG Venkataramani said that the government cannot do anything given the sensitivity of Yemen. It has not been recognized diplomatically.

  • The Supreme Court asked the AG to inform about whatever has happened on Friday.
  • AG said that we have no way to know what is actually happening. We are doing everything possible.
  • Justice Mehta said that the real reason for concern is how the incident happened. If she loses her life then it will be very sad.
  • AG said that this is not a case where the government can be asked to do anything other than this, it is very unfortunate.
  • Justice Mehta said that the petitioner is just demanding talks.
  • AG said that maybe there is a question of more money, we do not know. It seems that there is a kind of deadlock. The government is trying its best.
  • Justice Nath told the petitioner that now what do you want from us?
  • Senior advocate of the petitioner said that the local embassy officials go to Yemen jail with the mother. Even the naked people can go there and talk. Any person of the government can talk. This is a small thing that we are asking for.
  • AG: This is happening.
  • The petitioner said that if they are able to establish a relationship, then there is no punishment for death.
  • Justice Mehta said how can we pass this order? Who will follow it?
  • Justice Nath said that we will keep again after 3-4 days, see how we can settle.
  • The senior lawyer of the petitioner said that if there is a difference of 0.1% from this effort, then if they are negotiating on behalf, then the money should not be a hindrance. The Attorney General has been very active.

  • AG said that we all pray that something be positive.
  • The case has been listed again on Friday.
