The need of such people who file a case against the government: Gadkari
Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said, ‘There should also be some people in the society who can file a case against the government. If you want discipline in the system, then it is necessary to resort to the court against the government.
He said- Many times the court order is also done by the government, which the government is unable to get. Some people in the society should file petitions against the government in the court. This brings discipline in the leaders and the system.
Gadkari said that this is because the politics of enticing the public comes in the way of leaders and ministers and they are not able to take steps in public interest. Gadkari gave several examples, in which a petition was filed against the central-state governments.
He said that this is an important thing to maintain discipline in administration. Actually, Nitin Gadkari reached Nagpur on 13 July. He said this there at the ‘Prakash Deshpande Smriti Kushal Organizing Awards’.
The presence of conscious-people people in society is necessary
Gadkari appreciated the respected people as a skilled ingredient. He said- These people fought many legal battles against the government. The presence of such conscious and combative people in the society is necessary who expose the mistakes of the system and take steps in the public interest.
The Union Minister said- These people were working not only to protest, but in public interest. These people decided the accountability of the government through the court and proved how important citizens play in democracy. Many times it happened that when people went to court, the government had to withdraw from some of its decisions.
