After Operation Sindoor, there was a difference in the number of defense wagons in the railway, there will be calculation

New Delhi: During the exercise to find out the correct number of defense railway coaches after ‘Operation Sindoor’, the Railway Board found the difference between the data of the online box management system and the real -recorded figures. After this, it was decided to calculate these coaches on 15 and 16 July. Defense railway coaches are specially designed for the transport of defense personnel, equipment and other supplies.

‘Millrel’ and Ministry officials meeting

Officials said that about a fortnight after ‘Operation Sindoor’, (special branch of the Railway Ministry located at the Army Headquarters), ‘Mill too’ and ministry officials held a meeting to find out the total number of defense coaches placed at various places across the country. ‘Milarel’ is a special branch of Indian Railways. In a circular issued by the Ministry of Railways on 10 July 2025, it is said, “A meeting held on 23.05.2025 with the Executive Director of ‘Mill heal’ on 23.05.2025 found that there is a difference in data available in the data available in IRFMM (Indian Railway Mall’s Musty Maintenance Management) in relation to the number of ‘Millrel’ coaches and the data available in the ‘Millrail’ office.”

What will happen in the calculation process?

The calculation will begin on 15 July 2025 and should be completed by 16 July 2025. Explaining in detail about the calculation process, the Ministry has said that in this process, along with other things, other coaches, including poor (sick) coaches standing in roadside, repair lines or workshops, will also be included which have not been submitted for long inspection. It states that this order is for a joint campaign which will be run by Mill heal in the Indian Railway Complex and by Mill heal on the Defense ‘Sides’ (separately prescribed tracks).

What is the purpose of this campaign?

Its purpose is to find, identify, identify and update their (including photo) to the IRFMM application through a special module (Wagon Sensus), so that the record of active coaches can be corrected. The Ministry has urged all the railway divisions to set up several joint teams to help the concerned authorities in this work. (With language inputs)
