The length of this section is 2.7 km. The ministry also said that the Japanese government has agreed to include E10 Shinkansen trains in the 508 km long Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project. The press note issued by the ministry said, “Bullet train project has achieved a major achievement. The work of the first section of the 21 km long tunnel inside the sea between BKC and Thane has been completed. Recently under the project, the construction of 310 km ‘Viadct’ has been completed. ‘

The statement further said, “The work of laying, overhead electrical wiring, stations and bridges is going on rapidly. Construction work has also gained momentum in Maharashtra. Also, the process of operating and the procurement of control system is also going on smoothly. ”According to government information, the Japanese Shinkansen Technology -operated Bullet Train has just been done E5 series and E10 will be a new generation train. The Railway Ministry said, “As part of a strategic partnership between India and Japan, the government of Japan has agreed to include E10 Shinkansen trains in the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project. E10 trains will be started simultaneously in India and Japan. ”

BKC station will be 32.5 meters below ground

According to officials, the entire corridor of 508 km long is being developed with Japanese Shinkansen Technology. The ministry said that under the project, the work of 15 bridges being built above the river has been completed, while the construction work of four bridges is in the final stages. The work of 5 out of the total 12 stations has been completed and the work of 3 more stations has now reached the final stages. The ministry said, “BKC station engineering will be a miracle. This station will be located 32.5 meters below the ground and its foundation is designed in such a way that a 95 meter high building can be constructed above it. ”
