Rahul Gandhi surrendered in Lucknow court: bail after 5 minutes
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi surrendered in Lucknow court on Tuesday afternoon. 5 minutes later, the court granted him bail. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Alok Verma granted bail to Rahul on two bonds of 20-20 thousand. Rahul’s counsel had filed a bail plea, which was approved by the court. Rahul stayed inside the court for about 30 minutes.
Rahul reached the MP-MLA court directly after coming from Delhi to Lucknow Airport. The court ordered him to appear for his remarks on the Indian Army. Rahul did not appear during the last 5 hearing. After this, the court issued summons to him. After getting bail, Rahul left the court directly for Amausi Airport.
Rahul’s lawyer Pranshu Aggarwal had demanded a discount on Rahul’s appearance from the court. But the court ordered Rahul to appear personally. The police stopped the car of Rajya Sabha MPs Pramod Tiwari and Aradhana Mishra as soon as the convoy of vehicles reached the court gate.
