Former Pakistan MP selling ice cream in Haryana
Divaya Ram, an MP in Benazir Bhutto’s government in Pakistan, is selling ice cream in Fatehabad, Haryana. Troubled by the atrocities on Hindus, his family came to India from Pakistan on a tourist visa 25 years ago.
He has 30 members in his family. Of these, 6 people, including 2 women, have received citizenship of India, while the rest have applied.
At the same time, SP Siddharth Jain of Fatehabad says that some people are coming from Pakistan in the district. He has applied for citizenship of India after the Citizenship Amendment Act. It is investigating the applications. Under the rule, no one will be sent to Pakistan at present.
Resigned by being disturbed by atrocities
Divaya Ram says that some posts are reserved for minorities in Pakistan’s Parliament. For this reason, he was made an MP in 1989, but after becoming an MP, the domineering people there picked up a girl. Despite being in power, he could not do anything. Troubled by this incident, he resigned from his post in a few days.
When India came to India, there was a month’s visa
Atrocities on minorities were increasing on the day of Pakistan. In such a situation, Divaya Ram decided to settle in India in 2000 with his family. When he came to India, he had only one month visa. By 2018, he kept growing his family visa. The first visa used to grow every year, but later it started growing for 5 years.
13 people including wife, children came
Divaya Ram says that when he came to India from Pakistan, he was accompanied by a total of 13 people including his wife Rajo Rani, mother, 8 sons, Ramlal, Shankarlal, Khemlal, Sikander Lal, Khetaram, Tekaram, Darshanlal and 2 daughters. Now the number of family members has increased to 30. He first stayed in Madina village of Rohtak.
