16 killed due to heavy rains in Rajasthan: Narmada above the danger mark in MP
There are flood conditions due to heavy rains in Rajasthan. 16 people died in 24 hours in separate accidents due to rain in the state. On Monday, Kota received the highest 198mm rainfall in the state. 12 gates of Kota Barrage have been opened here.
Monsoon is raining fiercely in Madhya Pradesh. Narmada is flowing above the danger mark. Jabalpur, Rewa, including 10 districts, continued rainfall for a week. There are flood -like conditions in these districts. On Monday, many areas and villages of Sheopur were surrounded by water. From house-shops to hospital, water was flooded.
There are situations of waterlogging due to heavy rains in 15 cities including Lucknow, Kanpur, Bareilly in UP. Many dams of the state are overflowing. On Monday, 17 gates of Govind Sagar Dam in Lalitpur were opened. Before the inauguration in Chitrakoot, approach roads of 4 bridges built from 51 crore were washed away.
In the last 24 days in Himachal Pradesh, 105 people have died in rain -related incidents. More than 200 roads in the state are still closed. The Manali-Chandigarh highway is closing due to landslide daily for the last 3 days.
In view of the rising water level of the Ganges in Kashi, Uttar Pradesh, the water police has banned the operation of boats. Till now the sailors used to sit in the boat at the time of Ganga Aarti and show the aarti, now it has also been banned.
16 people died due to rain in Rajasthan
This season of monsoon in Rajasthan, 16 people have died in rain -related incidents so far. These include drowning in water, lightning, building fall and death due to current. 4 in Chittorgarh, 4 in Kota, 3 in Pratapgarh, 2 in Churu, 1 in Rajsamand, 1 in Bharatpur and 1 in Pali.
