Rajat Sharma’s Blog | Crime in Bihar: Nitish Kumar deal with strictness
Rajat Sharma, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of India TV.
Bihar is a glut of crimes nowadays. On Monday, at least a dozen incidents of murder and looting took place. Nine people were killed in the last 48 hours. Two people were firing with the intention of murder. Firing took place at three places in Patna. There were two murders in Chapra. There were reports of murder from Begusarai, Samastipur and Madhubani and Bihar police is the only romantic reply, investigation is being done, criminals will not be released. Although Nitish Kumar’s police still wants to give strict message to the criminals, he has adopted the method of Yogi Adityanath, has encouraged a criminal.
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha said that the government will curb crime and criminals at any cost, if you have to encounter, there will be an encounter, bulldozer will run if you have to run bulldozers. But Jan Suraj Party leader Prashant Kishore said that why the encounters of criminals have not happened in the last twenty years, now seeing the election in front of the government, the government will capture and kill two to four small criminals, it will not happen. On the other hand, Tejashwi Yadav said that the government is only making rhetoric. Law and order in Bihar has now become a major political issue. Nitish Kumar has no answer to this.
Except for far -flung areas of Bihar, bullets were fired at three places in the last twenty four hours in the capital Patna. A lawyer named Jitendra Kumar was shot dead in broad daylight at Sultan Ganj, Patna. Sultanganj police station is just 300 meters from the spot. In Patna’s Phulwari Sharif area, criminals shot a student and fled. In Gaurichak area of Patna, bike mechanic Alok was shot by criminals, bullet hit his leg, so life was saved.
Three people were shot dead in broad daylight in Begusarai, in which a young man was killed while two youths were seriously injured. In Chhapra too, a businessman Raju Rai was shot at just 100 meters from the police station. In Madhubani, a young man Salman was killed by entering the house. The killer Ashfaq was caught by the people around and handed over to the police. 14 -year -old Prince, who went to watch a cricket match in Samastipur, was strangled to death. Roshan Kumar, a businessman in Muzaffarpur, was shot near his house.
There have been 50 murders in Bihar in the last 13 days. This is a worrying situation. To fix this, the state government has neither much time nor more options. There is no other option but to stop this phase of crime. Now rhetoric will not work.
Comparing today’s situation to Lalu’s government’s jungle rule will not work. Criminals should be tightened. There should be fear of police in the hearts of criminals. For this, whether it is encounter or bulldozer, every maneuver has to be used. The police can do this, but for this it will need the government’s backing. The government will need a strong desire. This is the responsibility of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. If they miss, the public will never forgive.
Ahmedabad aircraft accident: When will the final investigation report come
The Airlines Regulatory Authority Directorate General of Civil Aviation has asked all the airlines to check the fuel control switch in all the Boeing aircraft included in their fleet. After this, the fuel control switch of 209 Boeing Civil Aircraft of all the airlines of the country will be examined. Airlines will have to report the investigation to DGCA in a week. This directive of DGCA came after a preliminary report of the Boeing plane crash in Ahmedabad last month. After midnight on Saturday, the Air Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) released the initial report of the accident.
This report of AAIB said that the fuel control switch, its fuel control switch, was off immediately after the tech-off, ie the engine had closed Fuel Supply after which, after which a pilot asked the other if he had switched off and the other pilot did not listen to the other pilot.
Based on the recording of this conversation, it was feared that the plane crash pilots in Ahmedabad were mistaken. Surprisingly, the “Wall Street Journal” printed it two days before the Aaib report was formally released. On Sunday, media from Western countries broadcast it prominently. Media organizations like Reuters, Sky News, BBC and CNN blamed the aircraft pilots for the plane accident based on this report.
The association of pilots opposed this. The Pilot Association said that such reports have been made with the intention of putting the pilots in the dock without examining the facts. Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu said that these are the initial reports, the investigation is still going on, so it is not right to draw any conclusions on the basis of the initial report, it would be wrong to raise finger on the pilots, everyone should wait for the final report.
Talk of issue: Everyone wants to know why the plane crash of Air India was done? Where was the mistake? How did such a big lapse? How did the two Engine fail together? How did the aircraft fall down within thirty seconds?
But the report that has come, does not answer any such question. Rather, new questions have arisen from Crash’s report.
Was this report released to save Boeing? Was this report released to put Sara Dosha on the pilot? Why was this report released at midnight? Why did the international media discuss it unilaterally?
It is necessary to get answers to these questions. Air India aircraft accident should not be investigated because someone is convicted or saved someone. This investigation is to find out why this unfortunate accident happened so that any such danger can be avoided in the coming time. This question is not just about one flight. The world is at risk for all flights of Boeing flying worldwide. That is why a detailed report of this matter should come soon. There should be less scope for waiting.
Omar Abdullah is chosen CM, give respect
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had a scuffle by police. There was a strong political drama in Srinagar. Omar Abdullah left the house quietly without telling the police to escape, walking on the walls of Srinagar, and went to the Mazar-e-Shuhada with his supporters and went to Fateha.
In fact, the leaders of the National Conference were trying to go to Mazar-e-Shuhda since Sunday but the administration did not allow it. Since 22 Kashmiri Dogra, who was protesting outside Srinagar Jail on 13 July 1931 in Jammu and Kashmir, was victims of the army bullets of Raja Hari Singh, since then Martyr’s Day is celebrated on 13 July in Jammu and Kashmir. There was a public holiday on this day. After the special status of Jammu and Kashmir in 2019, the government ended the government holiday on July 13. On this day, all the leaders of Kashmir Valley go to every Sala Mazar-e-Shuhada and read Fateha. Therefore, the administration, taking this steps, had put all the leaders including Mehbooba Mufti, Farooq Abdullah, Altaf Bukhari and Sajjad Lone under house arrest on Sunday.
On Monday, Omar Abdullah came out of his house, but the police stopped him, he was shocked, after that Omar Abdullah returned. But after a while, he secretly came out of the house with some people, stopped the car some distance before the tomb and reached the Mazar on foot with supporters. Umar and his supporters entered the wall after closing the gate. Then Omar’s father Farooq Abdullah reached and read Fateha on the tomb.
Omar Abdullah said that at the behest of the central government, the unaccounted government of Jammu and Kashmir is trying to stop the selected representatives like him, preventing the martyrs from paying tribute, it is not right. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wrote on Twitter that what is the problem with the government by reading Fatiha in the name of the martyrs, such a police consultation with a chosen Chief Minister is shameful. But BJP said that Omar Abdullah is only doing political stunts.
The treatment done by the police in Srinagar with Omar Abdullah is wrong. Such an explanation cannot be justified with a chosen Chief Minister. Omar Abdullah, by closing the wall, leaves all the security behind, it is also dangerous. There is no doubt that Omar Abdullah had a political compulsion to go to Mazar-e-Shahuda. They know that Kashmiri Pandits celebrate Black Day on 13 July. They also know that it will hurt the sentiments of Kashmiri Pandits, but for this, it is not right to prevent them from going to the house, going to the tomb.
Omar Abdullah’s behavior has been very decent since becoming the Chief Minister. They should also be treated with decency and respect. (Rajat Sharma)
