There will be great employment opportunities this year in the festive season. According to a report by AdECCO India, more than 2.16 lakh seasonal jobs are expected to be born in the second half of 2025. This is an increase of 15–20% compared to last year. According to PTI news, hiring will be seen the most in areas like retail, e-commerce, BFSI, logistics, hospitality, travel and FMCG during the festive season. According to the report, companies have already accelerated hiring cycles in view of Rakshabandhan, Dussehra, Diwali, seasonal sales and wedding season.

After all, why there will be good opportunities for employment

The report says that the boom in hiring will have better consumer sentiments, increase in rural demand from favorable monsoon, improvement in economic confidence after elections and aggressive seasonal promotion due to tremendous employment opportunities in the festival season this year. Seasonal jobs which will be seen the most in metros include Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Pune. It is expected to have 19% more jobs than last year. Talking about Tier-2 city, Lucknow, Jaipur, Coimbatore, Nagpur, Bhubaneswar, Mysore and Varanasi can see an increase of up to 42%. Apart from this, the demand in cities like Kanpur, Kochi and Vijayawada is also increasing rapidly.

What kind of salary and rolls will be

Salary in metro cities will increase by 12–15%, while emerging cities can see an increase by 18–22%. Hiring in logistics and delivery will increase by 30–35%. In addition, the demand for field force in Tier-2/3 cities for credit card cells in BFSI sector and POS installation will increase (30% growth). Hospitality and travel hiring are expected to increase by 20–25%. E-commerce and retail will be the largest source of hiring, which will hold a stake of 35–40%.

Women’s participation also increased

According to the report, there has been a 23% increase in women’s participation, especially the trend has increased over flexible and short-term jobs. Now the hiring has become a strategy, not just the number. Deepesh Gupta, General Staffing Head of Adecco India, said that now companies are not just in large numbers but are insisting on preparing workforce for a long time, but fast deployment, skill fitment, and long time.
