Adani sold 20 percent stake in Adani Wilmer for Rs 7150 crore, Infra Bij
Adani Group Has sold a 20 percent stake in Ari Business Limited to Wilmer International, Singapore for Rs 7150 crore in AWL (Adani Wilmer Limited) Agri Business Limited. The company has informed the stock market about this. The name of AWL Agri Business Limited was earlier Adani Wilmer Limited. The Adani Group announced the sale of its entire 44 percent stake in Adani Wilmer in December. The aim of the group behind this was to focus on its major infrastructure business.
The agreement was reached in Adani Commodities LLP and Wilmer International
Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL), a subsidiary of Aadani Commodities LLP (ACL) and Wilmer International, Singapore’s subsidiary Lens PTE Limited. He gave each other the option of buying or selling shares of Adani Enterprises Limited/Adani Commodities LLP in Adani Wilmer Limited, the price at which both agree, but it should not exceed Rs 305 per share. Both had a total stake in the company about 88 percent (44 percent) in total.
Adani sold 13.5 percent stake in January
Adani Enterprises Limited/Adani Commodities LLP sold its 13.5 percent stake in January 2025 at a price of Rs 276.51 per share. Subsequently, about 30.42 percent stake was left in Adani Enterprises Limited near Adani Enterprises Limited/Adani Commodities LLP. The Adani Group has now sold 20 percent stake in Adani Wilmer Limited Agri business in the deal of Rs 7150 crore to Wilmer International in Singapore at a price of Rs 275 per share.
These stake sales are part of the Adani Group’s plan to get out of business of daily consumption items (FMCG). After this latest transaction, Wilmer International has become a majority shareholder in Ari Sri, leaving behind Adani with a 64 percent stake.
