L&T chairman received a package of Rs 76.28 crore last financial year, FY 2023-24A
Engineering And S.C. N. Subrahmanyan’s remuneration (total package) increased by about 50 percent to Rs 76.25 crore in the previous financial year (2024-25) as compared to 2023-24. This major increase in Subrahmanyan’s remuneration was mainly due to the use of stock options during the year. Subrahmanyan was given a remuneration of Rs 51.05 crore in 2023-24.
Chairman used ESOP worth Rs 15.88 crore
Payments paid to a person for his work- which includes salary, bonus, commission, etc., is called remuneration. The price of Employee Share Options (ESOP) used by the chairman in the last financial year was Rs 15.88 crore. In comparison, it was zero in 2023-24.
How much L&T CFO got payment
The report further states that the company’s full -time director and Chief Finance Officer (CFO) R.K. Shankar Raman’s remuneration stood at Rs 37.33 crore in the last financial year. Whereas, the company’s deputy managing director and president Subramanian Sarma received a remuneration of Rs 44.55 crore.
The suggestion was given for employees to work on Sunday too
The chairman of Larsen and Toubro, while advocating 90 hours every week a few months ago, suggested that employees should also work on Sunday. This led to a flood of reactions on social media. After this, the company had clarified that his comment meant ‘need to make excessive efforts’ to achieve ‘spectacular results’.
Financial results will be released on July 29
On Thursday, L&T shares on BSE closed at Rs 3474.30 with a decline of Rs 27.40 (0.78%). According to BSE data, Larsen & Toubro shares have 52 weeks of high 3963.00 and 52 weeks are Rs 2967.65. The company’s current market cap is Rs 4,77,841.13 crore. Larsen & Toubro will release the financial results of the first quarter of the current financial year on 29 July.
