Robert Vadra’s difficulties increased, ED filed charge sheet in Gurugram land scam

New Delhi: Robert Vadra, a well-known businessman and son-in-law of Sonia Gandhi, has increased difficulties. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a charge sheet against Robert Vadra in the Gurugram land scam case. At the same time, Robert Vadra and his companies like Sky Light Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. A total of 43 immovable properties have been attached. Vadra’s company Skylight Hospitality bought 3.53 acres of land in 2008 for Rs 7.5 crore. This land was purchased at Shikhopur in Gurugram.

The inquiry was done for more than 18 hours

According to the allegations, the same land was sold for Rs 58 crore without completing the project. Robert Vadra has been accused in the charge sheet. In this case, ED questioned Robert Vadra for more than 18 hours. Along with Robert Vadra, several other Congress leaders from Haryana were also questioned.

What is the whole matter?

  • On 1 September 2018, an FIR (No. 288) was registered by the Gurugram police alleging that Robert Vadra had purchased 3.53 acres of land in Shikohpur village (Sector 83) in Gurugram through his company Sky Light Hospitality Private Limited. This land he gave Omkareshwar Properties Pvt. Ltd. On 12 February 2008, he was bought and accused of making false documentary statements.
  • It is also alleged that Vadra used his personal impact and also obtained a commercial license for this land.
  • Now in this case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a temporary attachment order on 16 July 2025. Under this, Robert Vadra and his companies like Sky Light Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. A total of 43 immovable properties of which are priced at Rs 37.64 crore, have been attached.
  • After this, a charge sheet has been filed against 11 people/institutions in this case on 17 July 2025 in Rowz Avenue Court, New Delhi. In this, Robert Vadra, his companies, Satyanand Yaji, only Singh Virk, and his company Omkareshwar Properties Pvt. Ltd. Has been accused.
  • However, the court has not yet taken cognizance of this charge sheet, that is, the court has not yet decided whether these allegations will be prosecuted or not.
