11,000 CCTV cameras installed: According to Bhanu Bhaskar, ADG of Meerut Zone, this time Kavad Yatra is being arranged on the lines of Mahakumbh. About 11,000 CCTV cameras have been installed in 7 districts of Meerut Zone Saharanpur, Hapur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Ghaziabad and Meerut. These cameras are keeping an eye on not only traffic, crowd movement, road conditions and any untoward. Now ‘information’ reaches before the accident: ENeither the living proof of monitoring of cameras came when the road was cut off from floods in Behat area of Saharanpur district 2 days ago. This news first reached the control room through the camera. Immediately the concerned department was alerted and the repair work started.
