Puri: A heartbreaking incident has come to light from Puri district of Odisha. Here a 15 -year -old minor girl was set on fire by some miscreants by spraying petrol. The incident took place in Bayabar village on Saturday when the girl was going to a friend’s house. After the incident, the victim was rushed to the hospital in a hurry. He is currently admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar, where he is being treated. The police is investigating the matter

According to the information, three crooks suddenly came on the way and set the girl on fire by putting petrol. After the incident, the three accused escaped from the spot. The girl was badly burnt and was immediately admitted to AIIMS Hospital in Bhubaneswar in critical condition. The victim’s girl is about 70% burnt. At present, the victim’s condition remains critical and her treatment is going on. The police is looking for the accused. This incident is once again raising serious questions about the safety of women and girls in the state.
Deputy CM expressed resentment
At the same time, Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha and Minister of Women and Child Development Department Pravati Parida has expressed grief and displeasure over the attack on this minor victim. He wrote in a post on X, “I am very sad and shocked that some miscreants set fire to a 15 -year -old girl in Balanga in Puri district. The girl has been taken to AIIMS Bhubaneswar immediately and the government will bear the entire cost of treatment. The government has been instructed to arrest the culprits immediately and take strict action.”
Student committed self -immolation in Baleshwar
Recently, there was an incident of self -immolation in Baleshwar district, in which a college student set himself on fire due to lack of sexual abuse complaint by the teacher.
