A heartbreaking incident has come to light from Puri district of Odisha. Where a 15 -year -old minor girl was burnt alive by some miscreants by spraying petrol. The incident occurred in Baya village on Saturday, when the girl was going to a friend’s house.
About 70 percent girl has gone
According to the information, three crooks suddenly came on the way and set the girl on fire by putting petrol. After the incident, the three accused escaped from the spot. The girl was badly burnt and was immediately admitted to AIIMS Hospital in Bhubaneswar in critical condition. The victim’s girl is about 70% burnt.
Naveen Patnaik raised questions
Odisha’s main opposition party Biju Janata Dal (BJD) President and former CM Naveen Patnaik on Saturday expressed grief over the incident of miscreants burning a 15 -year -old teenager alive in Puri district. Patnaik said that such cases indicate the systematic failure of the government. On Saturday morning, unidentified youths burnt a 15 -year -old girl and burnt her alive in Bayabar village of Balga police station area. In this incident, the girl has been scorched up to 70 percent.

He is being treated at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bhubaneswar. Leader of Opposition in the state assembly, Patnaik, said in a post on social media platform X, ‘Such unimaginable incidents against women are now happening almost daily in Odisha. These are not sporadic cases of violence. Constant events are shocking and they indicate the gross systemic failure of the regime.
Special instructions given to police
Prabhati Parida, Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha and Minister of Women and Child Development Department, has expressed grief and displeasure over the attack on this minor victim. Posting on the social media platform X, he wrote, ‘I am very sad and shocked that some miscreants set fire to a 15 -year -old girl in Balanga in Puri district. The girl is immediately taken to AIIMS Bhubaneswar. The government will bear the entire cost of his treatment. Police has been instructed to immediately take strict action by arresting the culprits.
The condition of the victim is serious
At present, the victim’s condition remains critical and her treatment is going on. The police is looking for the accused. This incident is once again raising serious questions about the safety of women and girls in the state.
Some boys exploited the girl
Puri SP Pinak Mishra said, ‘Some boys have exploited a young woman in a deserted place in the village. Trying to burn it with flammable substance. As soon as the incident was reported, the officers of Balang police station and top police officers reached the spot. At first, the minor victim was taken to Pipli’s government hospital, but she has now been referred to AIIMS for better treatment.
Special team formed to investigate the case
The police officer said, ‘Scientific and forensic team is coming to the spot and investigating the case. The police has also started investigation. A special team has been formed under the leadership of Balang police station officer. The team will investigate the cause of the incident. This is a very sensitive phenomenon. Keeping in mind the health of the minor victim, we have not even questioned her intense. After the victim’s condition is stable, we will interrogate her and collect the facts related to the case.
