Let us tell you that to update any information in the PF account, the PF account holder has to submit a self-declaration form. In this declaration form, along with the employee, there is also the signature of the employer i.e. the company.

What is joint declaration

To update any information in the PF account, the user has to give a joint declaration form. This is a form given by the Employees Provident Fund (EPF). This form is used by the PF member to correct any information in the account.

This letter contains the signatures of both the employee and the employer. After correcting the incorrect information in the form, the user has to submit this form to his regional PF Commissioner.

What can be updated in PF account

Any change in PF account requires a self-declaration form. You can update name, gender, date of birth, name of parents, relation, married status, date of joining, date of leaving, reason for leaving, nationality and Aadhaar Card Number in the PF account i.e. can change.

How to update

  • You have to go to EPFO website (epfoindia.gov.in).
  • After this you click on the service and select the option ‘For Employees’.
  • Now a new webpage will open in front of you. On this webpage you have to go to service and select online service.
  • After selecting this option, a new webpage will open on the screen.
  • Now you have to enter UAN Number and captcha.
  • After this click on Manage.
  • Now go to the drop down and select the option of joint declaration.
  • After this the member will have to enter his ID.
  • Now you have to upload the document related to the information you want to change and click on submit.
  • After clicking submit, the request will go to the employer. The change will take place once the request is accepted by the employer.

Let us tell you that EPFO member can correct the data in his PF account which is currently prepared by the employer.
