New Delhi: The Supreme Court reprimanded the Samajwadi Party on Monday for ‘cheating’ instead of the office for just Rs 115 in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh and described it as ‘a clear misuse of political power’. A bench of Justice Suryakant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi told senior advocate Siddharth Dave, appearing for the political party that it is not a case of fraud allocation, but is a case of ‘Bahubal and misuse of power by misusing and occupying fraud.
When action is taken, everything starts missing- court
The apex court was hearing the party’s plea against the eviction order of the Pilibhit Municipal Council. Dave argued that despite paying rent for the office, the municipal officials are adamant on evicting his client. He said that a lawsuit has been filed demanding a ban on eviction order. The bench said, “You are a political party. You misused the official position and political power to capture the place. When action is taken, you start missing everything. Have you ever heard of the office space on rent of Rs 115 in the municipal area? This is a clear case of misuse of power. ”
‘These are not fraud allocation, fraudsters are occupied’
When Dave appealed not to be evicted for 6 weeks, the bench said, “You are an unauthorized officer at this time.” These are not fraud allotment, but fraud occupations. ”Dave claimed that the party was being targeted by the authorities. The bench said, “It would be better to file a petition in the High Court and bring any such fraud allocation or possession to the notice of the court.” We will welcome this step. ”
Municipal Council had ordered eviction
On June 16, the Supreme Court rejected the petition of the party’s Pilibhit District President, challenging the High Court order that prevented them from filing a new petition in the case of order to vacate the local party office. The apex court gave the party the freedom to move to the High Court against the municipal decision. (With language inputs)
