Akash Chopra selected both playing XI, Pant and Jurael for the fourth Test.
Akash Chopra has chosen his Indian playing XI for the fourth Test match against England. He has placed both Rishabh Pant and Dhruv Jurael in his XI. Indian team Currently, the five-match series is lagging behind 1-2 and to maintain his hopes of winning the series, he will have to win the match in Old Trafford under any circumstances.
Chopra said on his YouTube channel, “There will be no question about both openers. The third Test match was quite average for Yashasvi Jaiswal, but it will happen. It would not be scored in every match. KL Rahul had scored centuries in the first and third match. So there should be no change.”
Speaking further, Chopra said, “The question will arise on the third number whether Karun Nair should be given another chance. Karun Nair is not fully seen in the rhythm. However, he has not scored so many runs that you can say that his selection is confirmed. I am still keen to feed him another match because he may not get a chance again. If you are not doing wicketkeeping, they should not play only four players.
Chopra said, “I am thinking about Dhruv Jurlel at number six because you have only top order options. After coming, I can’t feed an additional spinner here.
He concluded, “Bumrah and Siraj will definitely be seen playing. If Akash Deep is not available, then one of the third fast bowler can be chosen as Anshul Kamboj and one of the famous Krishna. You should choose the famous Krishna again, but he has looted a lot of runs. So you can see Anshul Kamboj debut here.”
