IRCTC scam: Court will pronounce decision on August 5, 14 people including Lalu are accused

A local court in Delhi was going to frame allegations against RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi and Tejashwi Yadav in the IRCTC scam case today. However, the matter has now been postponed till 5 August. The Rouse Avenue Court will now pronounce the verdict on 5 August. Explain that this case is related to alleged corruption in the tender of IRCTC hotels. Special Judge Vishal Gogane reserved his verdict on 29 May after hearing the arguments on the daily basis of the investigating agency and the lawyers of the accused.
Debate in IRCTC scam complete
Explain that on March 1, the Central Bureau of Investigation, the CBI had completed its debate on the allegations against former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, Tejashwi Yadav, former minister Premchand Gupta and other accused. The CBI has made 14 people accused in this scam. The special public prosecutor of the CBI had argued that the conspiracy of corruption was hatched by the accused in the allocation of maintenance contracts of two hotels of IRCTC. The CBI said that they have enough evidence to fed the charges against all the accused.
What is the whole matter?
Let us know that the whole matter is between the year 2004 and 2009, when Lalu Prasad Yadav was a railway minister. Lalu is alleged that the contract for maintenance of two IRCTC hotels, BNR Ranchi and BNR Puri were given to the Sujata Hotel, a private firm owned by Vijay and Vinay Kochhar. The CBI alleged that Lalu Prasad Yadav got a three -acre prized benami land in exchange for this deal. The CBI filed an FIR against Lalu Prasad Yadav on 7 July 2017 in this case. After this, the agency also raided several places.
