Tata Group’s holding company Tata Sons Executive Chairman (Chairman) N.K. Chandrasekaran has received a total salary of ₹ 155.81 crore in FY 2024-25 (FY25). According to the news of Business Standard, with this salary he has become one of the most salary of India’s most salary. This package is about 15% higher than the previous year.

According to the company’s annual report, during the financial year 2025, the profit of Tata Sons declined from last year’s ₹ 34,654 crore to ₹ 26,232 crore. This meant about 24.3% decline. According to the report, Tata Sons Executive Chairman N.K. Chandrasekaran received a total compensation of ₹ 155.81 crore in FY 2024-25 (FY25). This amount is 15 percent higher than ₹ 135 crore found in the last financial year FY24.

The report said that this salary package includes ₹ 15.1 crore salary and other allowances and ₹ 140.7 crore based on profit based commission. Chandrasekaran got this salary growth when Tata Sons’s profits declined.

N. Chandrasekaran joined the board of Tata Sons in October 2016 and was appointed as the chairman in January 2017. Before becoming the Speaker of Tata Sons, he served for 30 years at Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS), including working as an 8 -year Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director by 2017. Under Chandra, TCS became the most valuable company in the country. Apart from Tata Sons, he is also the chairman of the board of Tata Steel Limited, Tata Motors Limited.
