Rain red alert in Mumbai flooded the streets

The Meteorological Department on Thursday issued a red alert of rain in five states including Maharashtra. At the same time, there is an orange alert in Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka.

In West Bengal’s Bankura and East Bardhaman district, 13 people died due to lightning on Thursday. At the same time, the Odisha Police rescued 17 tourists trapped on the Gandhamardan hills.

A bus fell victim to the accident due to the road sinking in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. It killed 7 people. There have been a total of 147 deaths in the state so far. At the same time, assets worth Rs 1387 crore have been damaged.

The Meteorological Department has advised fishermen from Bay of Bengal, West Bengal and Odisha not to go to the sea. The department said that by July 28, winds may blow at a speed of 55kmph in these areas.

Government dialect- AI used for flood forecast
The Ministry of Water Power said on Thursday that forecasts are issued by the Central Water Commission using AI at 350 flood forecast stations across the country.

Minister of State for Water Power Raj Bhushan Chaudhary said that these forecasts are prepared and broadcast under a new initiative. This technique works on the smart water resources modeling organizations of excellence.
