Peshawar: Unknown gunmen have created terror in Pakistan’s disturbed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The gunmen have kidnapped two bank employees and a driver at gunpoint. The police have given information about the incident on Friday. According to the police, the gunmen forcibly removed a bank manager, an employee and driver from a passenger coach from Hurmuj area of North Waziristan tribal district and took them to an unknown place. Police said the incident occurred on Thursday when bank employees were returning to Bannu from Miran Shah.
Police started search operation
Following this incident of kidnapping, the local police has started a comprehensive search operation in the area. So far no group or organization has taken responsibility for it. North Waziristan District Police Officer Waqar Ahmed said that efforts have been started to locate the bank employees and the driver. Waqar said that government officials in tribal areas usually travel from private or public transport, as government vehicles are not safe for them.
‘Frontier Corps’ vehicle was attacked
On Thursday, unknown gunmen attacked a vehicle of ‘Frontier Corps’ in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. During this firing, one security personnel were killed, while another was injured. According to the police, the attack took place in Bannu district which is adjacent to North Waziristan. Unidentified gunmen ambushed the vehicle of ‘Frontier Corps’ with complete planning.
There have been attacks before
This is not the first time gunmen have carried out such an incident. Recently, a police station was attacked by several attackers armed with guns and rockets in the turbulent southwest Pakistan and then set fire to 2 banks. One boy was killed and 9 others were injured in this attack. The attack took place in Mastung district of Balochistan province. (Language)
