Bus going from Lima to Amazon overturned in Andes mountains, painful death of at least 18 people

Lima (Peru): A painful bus accident occurred in Peru. A bus going from Lima towards Amazon region overturned on the highway in Andes ranges. At least 18 people died and 48 others were injured in the accident. The authorities gave this information on Friday. The injured have been admitted to the hospital.
Double decker bus slipped from the road and fell into the slope
Cliffor Curipaco, Health Director of Junin, told reporters that ‘Expresso Molina Lidar International’, a ‘double-dekar’ bus of the company, slipped from the road in Palka district of Junin area and fell down from a slope. Officials are investigating the cause of the accident. In the video aired on local television channels, just two parts are seen broken in two parts and the fire departments and policemen are seen trying to save the injured.
A similar accident happened in January too
Earlier on January 3, a bus here fell into the river. Six people were killed and 32 people were injured in the accident. A study conducted by the Attorney General Office found that the drivers driving at negligence and excessive speed are the main cause of accidents in Peru. (AP)
