For the expansion of the blue line, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has sought theoretical approval from the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) to construct four metro stations in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Let us tell you that plans of Noida Sector 62 to Sahibabad and Mohan Nagar have been under construction since 2020.
According to the information received, the 3 km route from New Bus base to Ghaziabad railway station on the red line, which will have a station. At the same time, a 5.1 km elevated corridor with 5 stations between Sahibabad and Noida Sector 62 on the blue line, 4 km elevated expansion from Mohan Nagar to Vaishali on the blue line, which will have four stations, and a 12 km expansion from Gokulpuri (Interchange on Pink Line) on Red Line.

Loni will also get metro connectivity
This corridor will also provide metro connectivity to Loni and will help reduce congestion in the area bordering Delhi. With an estimated construction cost of Rs 300 crore per kilometer, the estimated budget for the total 25 km length of the four corridors is Rs 7,500 crore.
